Serunding Online is a very interesting products website, because they are selling a single product, and that is serunding. Serunding (or dried, slashed meat) is a delicacy common in Malay dishes and can be usually seen during major Muslim festivals such as Eid Fitr. Selling this product online was bound to happen, and the webmaster behind Serunding Online is certainly a pioneer in pushing for this product.

Unfortunately, we will find it difficult to recommend this website to overseas visitors from Europe or the US to try out this product, due to the fact that the site content is in Bahasa Melayu. While there is nothing wrong with focusing the niche for a solely Bahasa Melayu-speaking audience, we find it difficult to believe that someone will just order from the website and wait for the serunding to be delivered to their homes, when all one has to go to get a good packet of serunding from a local shop. That, coupled with a very poor (and I mean very poor) web design makes the website look not only unprofessional, but very fugly as well. We do not say this to demean the webmaster: we think that Serunding Online is a great concept were the website (a) redeveloped using the latest PHP/MySQL content management system with a Web 2.0 web design, (b) have a shopping cart system as well as a payments gateway system such as Paypal or 2Checkout (c) focus the website to include not only Malaysians, but also foreigners as well. That would mean some content in English.

In conclusion, we believe that
Serunding Online has much potential and if the webmaster of the website follows our suggestions as per above, we are sure that he will find much success via his business online.
