The first event of the nation-wide series of SME Business Galas, to be conducted by the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (SMEDA), would be held at Karachi Expo Center, Pakistan on Wednesday.

SMEDA is conducting this programme with the help of various public and private sector organisations where services offered by partner organisations shall be showcased and counseling sessions to be held to fulfill SMEs business needs. The series of nation-wide seminars on Hassle Free Business Environment is the main part of this programme, which has been particularly designed to provide a platform for both public and private sector institutions to disseminate their recent initiatives, products and services for the development and promotion of SMEs in Pakistan. Participating organisations, all gathered under one roof, shall assist in providing solutions to their business, whether it is financial, technology, human resources, marketing, or production support. This programme is specially designed to create awareness on the first ever SME policy developed through a participatory process of private sector bodies, chambers of commerce and industries, trade associations, public sector organisations and over 1,000 SMEs country wide.
